Good for abstract designs

Used the abstract textile designs feature. Generated a few patterns quickly. Exported as high-resolution. Simple process. Worth it for quick ideas.

Reliable for fabric designs

This is my third time using Patterned AI, and it's been consistent every time. I mostly use it for fabric print designs and the seamless pattern generator. This last order, I generated a bunch of custom pattern variations for a new collection. The quality of the exports is always reliable, and I haven't had any issues with the patterns not being truly seamless. It saves me a lot of time compared to doing it all by hand, and it's why I keep coming back. The vector pattern conversion also worked perfectly this time.

floral pattern generator worked well

I tried out the floral pattern generator for a project I was working on, and it was pretty cool. It made some nice designs that I used for a fabric print. Took about 3 days to get the hang of it, but after that, it was easy to use. The high-resolution downloads were good too, no blurry stuff. Overall, it was a solid experience.

Thinking of signing up for Patterned AI, but is it really better than Midjourney for textile stuff? Or should I just stick with MJ?

A Anna Torres 2 months ago
Totally different vibe. MJ is great for concepts, but Patterned AI is built for actual textile repeats and print-ready files. If you need something for production, Patterned AI is way more practical.

I'd say if you're doing textile or surface design specifically, Patterned AI is better because it focuses on that. MJ is more general image generation.

Can I actually use the designs I make on Patterned AI for commercial products? Like selling stuff with those patterns on it?

R Rosa 2 months ago
Yep, they explicitly say you get a commercial use license. That's a big plus for me.

That's the whole point right? Making designs for your products. You own the copyright too, afaik.

I saw a Black Friday deal mentioned somewhere for Patterned AI, do they do sales like that every year? Wondering if I should wait.

K Kate 2 months ago
They usually have something around Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Good time to snag an annual plan discount.

Yeah, and New Year too sometimes. If you're not in a rush, waiting for a seasonal sale might save you some cash.

Does Patterned AI have a free trial or something so I can check it out before committing to a subscription?

E Emma H. 2 months ago
They give you some free credits when you sign up, which is basically a trial. You can generate a few patterns to see how it works.

P Paula 2 months ago
Yeah, free credits. Just enough to get a feel for it.

Do they offer vector SVG exports? Or is it just raster files like PNG/JPG?

O Omar Reyes 2 months ago
I think they do vector conversion for some plans, but it's not for all pattern types I don't think. You'd have to check the specific plan details.

N Neil 2 months ago
Yeah, vector export is a feature, but it depends on your subscription level.

Hey, wondering if the patterns from Patterned AI are actually seamless? Like, for fabric printing, will they tile without a weird line?

D Dan Carter 2 months ago
Yeah, I've used them for some sublimation prints and they tiled perfectly. No visible seams at all.

They're supposed to be. I haven't tried a super complex design yet but the simple ones I've done look good when repeated.

My daughter is studying fashion design, does Patterned AI have a student discount or anything like that?

N Nick D. 1 month ago
Pretty sure they have a student discount. Check their FAQ or contact support, it's usually listed there.

I think I saw something about student pricing. It's worth looking into.
